Text: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he sent is one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Devotion: This morning our Advent story brings us to love. Paul reminds us, “Now abides faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love.” When we look beyond all the sin, all the drama and chaos, all the mistakes that people make in the Old Testament, it is really a love story. God chooses a people, His people, Israel and loves them. And through them loves all of humanity. As we explore the pages of Scripture one of the great themes we discover is love. We are loved and the Advent story calls us to love as well.
